| HP has made significant improvements on its popular Spectre x360 laptop, bringing forth some major upgrades, hardware enhancements, improving overall battery life, and an updated windows 10 feature. HP’s strides on improving their x360 laptops are brought by the fact that they want it to become the direct answer to Apple’s MacBook. Design
HP has shred 10 mm. from the edges on each side of the screen, promoting a “near zero border” 13.3-inch touch display. The improved Spectre x360 maintained its aluminum finish and curves, and at 13.88 mm. thick and 2.85 lbs., it is significantly thinner and lighter than previous versions.
But despites its weight drop, the Spectre x360 packs a bigger 57.8 W battery, which, along with Intel’s Kaby Lake processors, will offer up to 15 hours of battery life, as per HP’s statement.
Features
HP also added an infrared camera to the new Spectre, bringing a much-needed support for Microsoft’s Windows 10 Hello facial login. Dual mics have also been upgraded to further support Cortana’s voice-control features. The laptop also features a backlit keyboard, two USB-Type C ports plus Thunderbolt 3 support and one USB-Type A 3.0 port, further maximizing accessibility.
The Spectre x360 laptop will be sporting Intel’s newest generation i5 or i7 processors, with solid state storage of up to 1TB, and up to 16GB of RAM. It will officially be available for purchase on October 12, starting at $1,050.
Envy
Just ahead of Microsoft’s rumored Surface AIO launch in the next fortnight, HP has introduced its alternative, the ENVY AIO (all-in-one) with a 27-inch QHD display. Its camera, along with an IR support, also supports Windows Hello.
With up to 256 GB solid state storage or a two terabyte hard disk and sixth-generation Intel i5 or i7 quad-core processors, the ENVY will also be available this October, starting at $1,299.99.
